Keeping Positive, Day Five

KEEPING POSITIVE DAY 5, Flashback

A suggested daily recommendation for changing destructive habits.

DAY FIVE: FOUNDATIONS‏

We're not "trying", we're doing!

Welcome to Day Five of a Revolution.
Quicksand won't support a house....the structure must be built on a solid foundation.

When you wake up in the morning, do you center yourself and determine HOW you will think, feel and act in your day, or do you crawl out of bed and gripe "Here we go again. Same shit, different day."?

Guess what happens when we start off that way?
You're right.

Recognize your strengths.
Count your blessings. (Our focus is too often on perceived lacking, overlooking gifts.)
Let go of the uncontrollable and the nonsensical.
Pace yourself.
Eat right.
Be nice....without expecting anything in return.
Distance yourself from others' rudeness/wrath/oversight; it has little or nothing to do with you personally.
Don't allow the B.S. to affect YOUR outlook.
Turn off the news...it's designed to depress and stress. The clatter influences your emotions.
Focus on the present..right now, today.

As somebody once mused; We are every bit as miserable or as happy as we make up our minds to be.

Decide your day in advance.

Peace, R
