DIET CHANGE: ELIMINATIONS & SUBSTITUTIONS

HEALTHY REVOLUTION Diet Changes

Okay, down to basics with all of this. (see prior Healthy Revolution articles for related info.)

Here's what I changed in my dietary intake.
It's a hard process, like most worthwhile things in life.

ELIMINATED (slowly, step by step)

White processed sugar

White flour (yes, biscuits, white bread, etc.)

White potatoes (initially for weight loss; now I eat occasionally!)

Corn (yes, grits and corn bread too)

Pork and most red meat

Fried foods

Sodas (even diet)

Whole milk

Alcohol

Caffeine

SUBSTITUTE:

Lots of fish and chicken, soy and veggie substitute, beans or all kinds

Whole grain crackers, whole wheat and multi-grain breads, whole grain pasta

lots of rice (esp. long grain and brown)

A ton of fresh raw vegetables and fruits

Olive oil

Lots of water to drink

yogurt, cottage cheese, sour cream and white cheeses

Soy milk

Juice

Sweet potatoes
