My weight-loss and Health Smoothie recipe;
(You can substitute fruit types and such, but this is the basic model.
This is a great idea for either a morning starter to your day, or a full service meal if you can't sit down/slow down at the end of the day. It's filling....but it isn't heavy on your stomach.
There's a purpose behind every ingredient!)
1 cup Vanilla Soy Milk
1 serving cup of no-sugar-added apple sauce
1 dash cinnamon
1 dash cayenne pepper/chili powder
1 teaspoon of Flax Seed (dry pressed) (health food store)
1 teaspoon of Green Energy (or equal ingredient; natural food source from health food store)
1 cup frozen fresh fruits (generic are cheap and available year round)
1 Breyer's yogurt (any flavor in combo with chosen fruit)
Blend well and drink immediately. (Or, freeze and take with you for work.) Don't let sit out long because of dairy and soy.
